Principal Data Architect

This is an exciting role for an Architect to come in and lead the major feature development in the rapidly growing startup. What you'll do:

• Responsible to define and lead the data architecture, data quality, data lineage for Service Titan Big Data and Real Time Analytics platform
• Be responsible for strategizing data architecture principles, artifacts, and improvement of data lifecycle effectiveness and efficiency
• Focuses on enterprise wide data modeling, database design, and canonical data modeling
• Develop and evangelize patterns, principles, and best practices to turn data into a strategic asset and build advanced data solutions and capabilities to foster data-driven decision-making
• Build a high-impact data architecture function
• Identify potential for cost savings through data pipelines, storage optimization, budget allocation
• Develop and sponsor proof-of-concept and idea blueprints to demonstrate recommended approaches
• Collaborate with customer, product or technical team such as infrastructure, security, to aid in use of architectural principles and decision-making

What you'll bring:

• B.S., M.S. or PhD degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in Data Architecture / Data Engineering roles working in high traffic, fault tolerant, and highly available environments
• 6+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of systems
• 6+ years of experience with Big Data Technologies (Hadoop, Snowflake, Deltalake, Redshift, etc.)
• 6+ years of experience with Streaming platforms like Kafka or Kinesis
• 6+ years of experience with SQL skills
