About the Role

Collaborating with visionary department heads, engineering leaders, SMEs, developers, and analysts, you'll spearhead our data strategy. Your expertise will forge the foundation for our machine learning and artificial intelligence applications, powered by meticulously crafted data models. • Uncover the intricacies of Rocket Lawyer's data landscape, shedding light on its applications across products and the organization.
• Forge data architecture that optimally harnesses our wealth of data, supercharging business decisions and enhancing customer journeys.
• Advocate for and assess data management technologies and practices, bridging the gap between our current state and a future designed for excellence.
• Interpret and deliver strategic plans, bolstering data integration, quality, and delivery to steer business initiatives.
• Formulate and articulate architectural trade-offs across solution options before recommending an optimal solution ensuring technical requirements are met.
• Advise teams of data engineers and technical experts throughout design, implementation, and best practices.

Requirements

• Experience implementing a diverse range of on-premises and cloud data management, integration, visualization, and analytical technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate the value and benefits of investing in modern enterprise-level data solutions to non-technical executives.
• Experience in designing and executing modern data architectures and concepts utilizing cloud services like GCP or AWS, real-time data distribution tools like Kafka or Google Pub/Sub, and modern data warehouse platforms like Snowflake, BigQuery, or RedShift.
• Experience designing and executing comprehensive end-to-end data solutions encompassing data ingestion, storage, and relational modeling.
• Strategic thinking ability, coupled with the aptitude to align architectural decisions and recommendations with business requirements and organizational culture.
• Capability to leverage existing data to make informed decisions, including the creation of machine learning systems and the application of artificial intelligence to enhance customer experiences.
• Experience guiding enterprise engineering teams through implementations, serving as a Point of Contact (POC) for design choices and best practices.
• Knowledge of and ability to recommend best practices in data governance, encompassing Master Data Management (MDM), security, privacy, and policies.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience working with Object-Oriented Python
