Principal Data Product Manager

As a Principal Data Product Manager you will be responsible for ingesting and aggregating data sources into the vast data repository that powers all of the core product features used by our customers. This position reports to our SVP of Data Operations and will work directly with our data scientists analysts and developers as a Scrum Product Owner (PO) in an agile Scrum team.

Deliverables including estimated time of how much of an average week is spent doing each item - this is subject to change:

• 20% - Own and prioritize a data development backlog and project delivery schedule in order to execute customer-focused roadmap deliverables.

• 20% - Work closely with developers analysts and architects to fully understand available data in order to define business logic including cleaning and standardization requirements.

• 10% - Collaborate with product and data stakeholders to gather requirements needed to develop aggregated data to support our product suite.

• 20% - Conduct and review data analysis data profiling and data mining using traditional statistical techniques to understand and strengthen our data capabilities.

• 20% - Document requirements by writing user stories that align with product needs.

• 10% - Define acceptance and data quality criteria and then guide the agile Scrum team to meet them.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Information Systems Analytics Statistics Applied Math or any other related engineering field.

• 6+ years of experience with product management product development and product ownership in data-focused organizations.

• Experience with SQL for profiling and analyzing data sets.

• Experience with open-source big-data tools such as AWS Spark Hadoop Airflow etc. preferred.

• Experience with agile software development such as Scrum and Kanban.

• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

• Experience with data related to public records people businesses properties etc. is highly preferred.
