NICE WEM is looking for a skilled and accomplished individual with a strong background in data science, specifically in the areas of large language models and speech recognition. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving research, development, and implementation of advanced data science solutions. This role will be based in our Atlanta office location.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the development of large language models and speech recognition algorithms, and their use-cases inside our Analytics portfolio.
- Conduct cutting-edge research in the field of natural language processing and contribute to the advancement of state-of-the-art techniques.
- Collaborate with business-focused teams to identify and solve real-world business problems using data-driven approaches.
- Mentor and guide junior members of the data science team.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in the field and integrate emerging technologies into our data science initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Machine Learning, or a related field is a plus.
- Proven track record of publications in the field of large language models and/or speech recognition.
- At least 6-10+ experience in corporate or demonstrably fast-paced academic positions, using "real" industry data.
- Experience with rapid prototyping development.
- Extensive experience with machine learning frameworks and tools.
- Proficiency in Python, and experience with relevant libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Experience in AI/speech recognition.
- Experience with Git and version control for managing code repositories.
- Practical use of Docker and related technologies.
- Strong understanding of deep learning architectures and techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor a team of data scientists.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
