Being a Principal Database Architect at iManage MeansâŚ
Working across teams, you will lead and participate in the design and delivery of data architecture for a high-traffic multi-region SaaS solution that handles over a billion daily operations. Horizontal and vertical scale for billions of records, application and operational security, and the ability to monitor and alert are key constraints. You will develop and document designs, including scale validation and testing approaches, delivering features with an advanced CI/CD model. You will be curious and passionate about tracking trends and industry developments and bring technical thought leadership to help drive innovation. You will engage with internal product portfolio teams, customers, partners, and product management teams to understand market requirements and present solution options.Â
You will build strong relationships within and outside engineering, creating trust and continuous alignment. You will have experience working at a global SaaS company, with an eye for innovation and customer service.Â

- Monitoring industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices
- Data ArchitectureÂ
- Overseeing iManage Work data architecture and interactions with upstream as well as downstream systemsÂ
- Ensuring data security constraints to support a multi-tenant system and GDPR requirements around jurisdiction and privacyÂ
- Develop data usage and metrics collection approaches for data-driven iterative design and continuous improvement activitiesÂ
- Scale validation with simulated trafficÂ
- Protecting all information entrusted to us by customers, partners, and employees. Fostering a culture where Information Security is a core part of our organizational mindsetÂ
- Development & DeliveryÂ
- Participating in the design and high-level development of database interfaces for various iManage Work productsÂ
- Troubleshooting and remediating critical database bottlenecks in large-scale production deployments, often working hands-on with the development teamsÂ
- Participating in expanding CI/CD capabilities by designing and driving automated test support for reliable daily software deliveryÂ
- Participating in building and optimizing operational insights into database consumption and operational limitsÂ
iM Qualified Because I HaveâŚ
- Bachelor's or master's degree in software engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in database technologies and senior/lead roles for a minimum of 5 yearsÂ
- Strong knowledge of software development methodologies and technologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
