Job Description

The Senior Database Developer will provide Database, Data Analysis, and Software Development, and Documentation support for the FAA. Candidate must have strong expertise in SQL/PLSQL (Oracle), Oracle tuning, Table/Procedure/etc. development and tuning, and ESRI ArcGIS spatial database development and management.

Experience and Skill Sets:

• Strong experience developing Oracle PL/SQL stored procedures, functions, procedures, packages, etc.
• Development experience with the Spatial Database Engine (SDE).
• Experience tuning and troubleshooting Oracle database procedures, working with Database Administrators to recommend adjustments to Oracle procedures, tables, tablespaces, etc. for performance improvements.
• Support development of GIS Web Applications utilizing ESRI ArcGIS, PHP, Oracle, and JavaScript.
• Utilize Atlassian products including JIRA, Bitbucket, and Confluence to help track project activities and documentation.
• Develop System Documentation including System Design Documents, Software Architecture documentation, Diagrams, etc.
• Assist with User Training and development of training materials.
• Requirements gathering, testing, and providing configuration management including software release management, automated pipeline support, and containerization support.
• Support Technical and Maintenance activities including security and deficiency assessments, resolution of technical issues affecting system performance, architecture development and system modernization recommendations.
• Provide guidance to team members and facilitate cross-group coordination and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or Science.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience is required.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with customers and fulfill all duties and responsibilities as listed in the contract.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite including, but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
• Must have experience with data and analysis technologies.
• Provide expertise and assistance with proposal efforts.
• Must be a US citizen and be able to hold and maintain a Secret Clearance.
