Job Description

Analog Devices, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADI) is a global semiconductor leader that bridges the physical and digital worlds to enable breakthroughs at the Intelligent Edge. ADI combines analog, digital, and software technologies into solutions that help drive advancements in digitized factories, mobility, and digital healthcare, combat climate change, and reliably connect humans and the world. With revenue of more than $12 billion in FY22 and approximately 25,000 people globally working alongside 125,000 global customers, ADI ensures today's innovators stay Ahead of What's Possible.

The Instrumentation ATE Group located in Wilmington, MA is currently seeking an experienced Analog IC Layout Engineer for the development of new products. Products in this strategy are comprised of integrated high speed and precision signal chains as well as high voltage products targeted towards Automated Test Equipment (ATE) applications. Product designs utilize multiple processes including advanced internal 0.18um BiCMOS SiGe processes as well as standard 0.18um CMOS processes and very high voltage processes. These designs are then combined on a laminate package to provide customers with a custom SIP (System In a Package) solution.

The candidate's responsibilities will include transistor level place and route in the bipolar, bicmos, and BCDMOS domains as well as close collaboration with design engineers on individual circuits and on overall die floor-planning in large integrated system designs and implementing final verification run sets on the completed layouts. The candidate will be working with the latest process technology and will need to interface with CAD and Process Engineers during these developments. The candidate must be able to work in a team environment and exhibit good communication skills. Knowledge of the digital implementation flow and tools is a plus.

Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Layout of high speed BiCMOS circuits, including drivers and receivers, with particular attention to parasitics from routing and placement
  • Layout of precision BiCMOS circuits, including op-amps, buffers & references, with particular attention to device matching and overall layout symmetry
  • Implementing cell layouts from placement through routing to final verification and tapeout
  • Learning and experimenting with the latest cutting edge processes to implement new ATE architectures
  • Collaboration with the design & layout team to coordinate cell placement and routing in the larger system hierarchy
  • Debug of large complex layouts for performance, drc and lvs violations

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of bipolar layout experience
  • Must have knowledge and/or experience with high speed bipolar layout techniques
  • Knowledge of CMOS and BCDMOS layout techniques
  • Knowledge of Cadence Virtuoso layout suite
  • Knowledge of verification tools including Calibre
  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment and across organizations
  • Ability to organize large complex integrated layout designs
  • Familiarity with digital implementation tools is a plus
