About Store N ° 8
We are the incubation arm of Walmart. Store N°8 was formed in 2017 as part of Walmart's larger innovation mission to shape the future of commerce. We pursue big ideas and take risks by stepping outside of Walmart's core business to focus on leapfrog capabilities across conversational commerce, mixed reality, in-store digitization, and more. Our ultimate goal: fuel Walmart's core business, create new operational efficiencies, and unlock amazing experiences for our customers in the long-term. This team within Store N°8 is designing immersive experiences for our customers, developing the role of retail mixed reality worlds.
About the Role
In this role, the UI/UX Designer will partner with Store N°8, Stealth Project leaders to define the future of digital and physical commerce. You are passionate about topics such as the metaverse and Web3 and understand that we are only at the beginning of what those can become. Working back from the customer is core to your approach and designs. You are a storyteller, who takes 1P and 3P research to create visual narratives of what's possible to inspire the future product roadmap strategy. This role will report to the head of marketing & product strategy and play a lead role on a startup team.
Responsibilities
- Perform rapid prototyping to validate the business and customer goals, usability, and feasibility of a new product idea in collaboration with the product team
- Work closely with cross-functional leads to deeply understand the commerce needs of consumers, merchants, and creators
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify the key research questions that will help shape the commerce product strategy in different markets
- Utilize data to track how product changes affect user behaviors and attitudes over time across different products and platforms
- Work with research lead to gather insights from relevant industries to help stakeholders explore solutions to challenging long-term product questions
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of product design experience with a UX focus
- Experience developing eCommerce UI/UX within mobile apps and responsive web
- History of designing across multiple platforms, working across development and technical teams, to generate customer journey flows, wireframes, and UI prototypes
- Experience using a combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods, including usability studies, focus groups, diary studies, etc.
- Ability to operate independently in an ambiguous environment
- Excellent presentation skills to senior leaders and executives, including working experience with Adobe XD or Sketch, Creative Cloud, IvisionApp, Figma, or similar
- BA in Design, CS, a related field, or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years of product design experience with a UX focus
- 2-3 years of experience in branded entertainment or gaming
- Proven ability to drive product ideation from the ground up that deliver user experiences with mass adoption
- Skills communicating and influencing product design strategy

The annual salary range for this position is $130,200.00-$241,800.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:
- Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)
- Stock equity incentives
Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in UI/UX design, graphic design, visual communication, product design, computer science, information technology, or related area and 5 years' experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area. Option 2: 7 years' experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area.
