About the role:

At UKG Ready, we are looking for a Principal DevOps Engineer that unites operations and development to automate everything. Our team advocates for facilitating and building a DevOps culture and infrastructure. Platform team is responsible for feature implementation and managing security services(two factor authentication, password policies), POD split, Containerization, Document archiving. Team is diversified and has strong collaboration and communication which is part of processes in our day-to-day work. • This DevOps Engineer(Automation) will be responsible for all aspects of the code deployment pipeline from SCM check-in through production deployment and shall be

automating processes using Cloud Native solutions with the help of scripting languages (Shell/Python) and Google Cloud API• Have solid foundation in CI/CD concepts and are well-versed in the pipeline to push changes to production• Responsible for designing, building and supporting deployment automation of various services which is repeatable, efficient, and cost-effective• Responsible for analyzing all deployment/infrastructure-related issues across Engineering / Production environments and providing swift resolution• Participates in building efficient automation solutions that are resilient, fault-tolerant, and upgraded with no downtime• Work with the cross teams and lead team to build production deployment processes & systems• Participates in code and design reviews to ensure quality and conformance to product standards• Possess a keen eye to detail as well as excellent debugging / troubleshooting skills• Build and support custom tools that facilitate development and QA teams

Qualifications

About you:

Basic Qualifications:• 7+ years Experience with programming languages such as Python, Ruby, bash scripts etc.• 5+ Years Design and Implementation of the software • Work with cross-functional software development projects using Agile development methodologies such as Kanban or Scrum• Recent experience working with Terraform, Ansible and public cloud deployment platforms such as GCP or AWS • Strong drive to automate everything• Experience with GitHub and its workflows

Preferred Qualifications:• Self-motivated, continuous improvement mindset and willing to get the job done• Ability to manage and balance multiple deliverables concurrently in an environment with shifting priorities• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Packer a plus • Strong experience working with continuous integration and continuous delivery
