Principal DevOps Engineer

The RoleDevOps engineer will join the team that maintains delivery pipelines and development environments for a large geographically distributed development group.

Your Impact

• Code new features and enhance existing python / shell / groovy scripts.
• Automate and sequence operations using Jenkins jobs and Azure Devops pipelines.
• Develop and troubleshoot containerized environments (docker/compose).
• Build C++ packages from source using various toolchains and build systems on Linux and Windows.
• Produce and publish on-demand packages (patches).
• Troubleshoot CI and nightly builds.
• Capture the knowledge and provide guidance for teammates by writing wiki-pages.

What You'll Need

• Extensive Experience in Linux system administration in on-prem or cloud environment.
• Source-control proficiency, preferably Perforce and Git.
• Fluency in Python and Shell scripting.
• Experience in maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably with Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with C++ build toolchains and IDEs.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux containers.
• Nice to have: Familiarity with Windows OS, Experience with NodeJS development and testing tools, Experience with OSS / security scans (Black Duck / Snyk), Experience with Ansible / Terraform / Kubernetes.
• This role implies intensive written and verbal communication with the colleagues from all over the globe, hence strong English command and interpersonal skills are essential.
