The Global Spectrum Dominance (GSD) V-22 Software Department is looking for software engineers to support leadership, development, test, and other tasks throughout a software life cycle for V-22 embedded software applications. The V-22 operating system interfaces with several avionics systems including displays, navigation, and mission planning. This challenging work requires strong problem-solving skills and the desire to learn from and work with world class Engineers.

Job Description:

• Provide Technical leadership and solutions in cross-disciplined integrated product team(s), often employing agile software development techniques and tools to plan, design, develop, test, and integrate complex software and systems solutions.
• Capable of developing and shepherding inventions and innovations of new products and technologies, from architecture and design, through integration, lab test and field test.
• Work with professionals around the country from diverse technical expertise who thrive in a collaborative environment.
• He/she will be familiar with latest technology trend in microprocessor, memory, communication, and interface protocols.
• The candidate will work in an advanced product development team environment with system and software engineers.
• This position may require occasional business related travel.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Embedded development work in aircraft avionics and displays
• Demonstrated experience working and solving complex issues with both internal and external customer input
• Strong Analytical skills
• Experience developing design, requirement, and user documentation
• Architecting, Developing, testing software using C, C++, C#, JAVA or closely related software languages
• Experience working in an ADO facilitated Agile environment
• Experience with CM tools including Clearcase and GIT
• Embedded Software Architecture Experience on systems using a Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS), e.g., Linux, Green Hills (GH) Integrity, VxWorks, or other
• Technical Ethernet communication experience and practical, demonstrated hardware and software experience with devices and protocols
• Working knowledge in computer scripting language such as Shell/Perl/Python
• Proficiency utilizing software debugging tools to troubleshoot software implementation and ensure integrity of the software products
• United States Citizen as this position will need a US Security Clearance within 1 year of start date

Qualifications We Value:

• ADA software development experience
• Experience using software optimization techniques and timing analysis to ensure real-time operation and synchronization of software products
• Working knowledge in the development and integration of software drivers for the operation of computer hardware interfaces
• Working knowledge in common computer hardware interface and data protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, RS-422, USB, PCI, and 1553
• Working knowledge of Software Configuration Management principles environments and tools
• Parallel programming principles and processes for technical computing environments
• Familiarization with Code Coverage tools such as VectorCAST and LDRA

Required Education:

• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of ten (8) or more years of relevant experience in software requirements, design, development, integration, and test.
