**This position is a hybrid role where the employee will be required to be onsite in Milwaukee, WI a few days a week**

What you will do

Join our team as an embedded test engineer to ensure quality in the next generation of Global Controls Products enabling our global customers to optimize their comfort, energy usage, building operation costs, and security within their buildings! You will be working with product managers, firmware developers, and testers to validate the product we are providing to our customers meets their expectations.

How you will do it

  • Work with the technical leads to develop test strategies and test plans.
  • Develop reusable suites of test cases to validate the products.
  • Obtain, set up, and maintain test environments for validating quality exists within our products.
  • Write and implement functional, integration, or system related tests while supervising the progress of the project.
  • Develop automated tests for regression testing of continuous integration.
  • Ensure daily/weekly/monthly reports are sent to all stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with other testers and assign tasks to be completed.
  • Provide technical assistance to other areas such as Manufacturing, Marketing, Field Support, and Quality Assurance.

What we look for

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent technical field.
  • At least 6 years of experience within product testing and/or product development.
  • Programming experience in Python or other types of automation framework languages.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to generate creative solutions to overcome difficult challenges.
  • Ability to work both collaboratively with teammates globally and independently with minimal direction.
  • Proven ability to mentor less experienced testers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple, potentially changing priorities and effectively coordinate activities across teams.
  • Strong time management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
  • Preferred experience within building automation and controls engineering.
  • Preferred working knowledge of BACnet and IP communications.
  • Preferred knowledge of security vulnerabilities and what to look for when testing.
