Responsibilities:

• Guiding, motivating and providing expert advice to engineers across multiple scrum teams and initiatives
• Designing and developing highly scalable and resilient architectural solutions, producing exceptionally meaningful results for our internal and external customers
• Engaging and strategizing with Technology, Data and Product leadership to find potential areas of improvement and execute on long term plans
• Recommend and ensure technical standards across all software design and development activities
• Demonstrate technical leadership and expertise through experimentation and mentorship

Skills/Experience You Have:

• Eight (8) or more years of software engineering, system design and architecture experience 
• A strong natural tendency towards leadership and collaboration
• Expertise with software engineering practices: unit tests, integration tests, ci/cd pipelines, source code management
• Analytical skills to understand how to develop software based on customer and user needs
• Ability and desire to mentor and coach engineers of all levels 

• Experience deploying applications, services, and infrastructure as code to a public cloud
• Advanced familiarity with one or more of the following languages: Java (Spring Boot), Python (Django/Flask), JavaScript (React/Node), and/or PHP
• Experience deploying, operating, and debugging server software on Linux
• Familiar with deployment automation/configuration management -- e.g. Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation

• AWS Certification
• Agile Certification
• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or any of the many Engineering disciplines
