Overview of the Role

As a Principal Cloud Architect, you will provide thought-leadership on architecting and implementing cloud foundations for large-scale enterprises. Our clients are betting their business on migration to public cloud. They will look to you as a thought leader in the industry to lead them. You will work with people across the organization from requirements analysis through infrastructure and application design and deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Own technical direction and execution on client engagements, providing direction, guidance, and supervision across the engineering team.
• Nurture and influence technical and client stakeholder relationships as a trusted partner.
• As a member of core technical leadership of the firm, aid in defining technical strategy, setting our perspective on key technical domains, and executing on delivering value to our clients.
• Invest in our partnership with Google by working with Google Cloud engineers and Google Cloud product managers to help make Google cloud better.

Ideal Attributes

• 10+ years progressive technical experience (e.g., Software Engineer, DevOps Engineer, System Administration), including responsibility for cloud architecture (GCP, AWS, Azure). 
• Direct hands-on experience leading the design, delivery and implementation of public cloud infrastructure and solutions.
• Experience in a client-facing role while working for Professional Services/IT Solutions company, including facilitating discussions with senior leadership regarding technical/architectural trade-offs, best practices, and risk mitigation.
• Experience with application lifecycle for containerized workloads running on kubernetes. Build, test and release management best practices throughout infrastructure tooling and automation.
• Cloud Certified Fellow or cloud-related conference speaking engagements are a plus.
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability.

• Strong ethics, and lead by example.
• Highly organized and industrious.

Other Relevant Details

• Desired Locations: open to any location as long as you have a great internet connection and are willing to overlap US east coast mornings.
• Approximately 25% travel in and outside of the US.
• New York City Pay Range Information: $200,000-$300,000, plus may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon individual skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws.
