Principal Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps - Social Impact

Let's define "Principal Engineer" as we see it. You love to and are great at:

• Guiding the business and engineering teams toward a target architecture compatible with our business and engineering objectives.
• Creating detailed technical product specifications and design documents in a cloud-native (AWS) distributed architecture.
• Assisting and mentoring  our engineering  team throughout the process of developing and maintaining an AWS Well-Architected infrastructure.
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues with performance and/or design.
• Ensuring that you and the team adhere to development schedules and deadlines.

Your mission:

Your role is responsible for working with a team of senior business and technical leaders to determine organizational scaling, security, stability, and assurance requirements, creating comprehensive solution plans, and leading a team of internal and external infrastructure and DevOps engineers.

What you ideally bring to the team:

• Masters Degree in CS or similar
• 10+ years of experience designing and implementing software applications
• 5+ years of experience building cloud infrastructure (AWS strongly preferred)
• 5+ year of experience working on financial or similarly quality-critical information systems.
• Experience developing software utilizing various coding languages including Node.js, C#, and Javascript.
• Deep understanding of API first principles, developing systems built for end-user consumption.
• Experience overseeing customized development of processes for multiple projects simultaneously.
