Principal Engineer- Identity and access management experience is must

We are seeking a Senior Engineer to join our mission-critical Network Security Management IAM product engineering team. In this role, you will build new features and enhancements to the existing product line and work on our network management platform that touches all our products. Experience with firewalls or other networking hardware products in a software environment will be important to the success of this new hire. You’ll work in a cloud environment and utilize your database and cloud platform skills as you build features using Java, Golang, python, and microservice architecture. We are a collaborative team, and you’ll have co-workers around the world as you develop SonicWall products of the future.

Job Description:

• Design, Develop, Integrate, and maintain Identity and Access Management solutions to control access to cloud resources.
• Comfortable multi-tasking in a fast-paced, agile team environment.
• Make the right judgment calls to deliver features on time, with the highest level of quality, in the best interest of the customer.
• Facilitate problem diagnosis and prompt resolution for issues reported by customers.
• Maintain existing software features by implementing enhancements and fixing bugs.
• Collaborate with other engineers on code reviews, test case reviews, and process enhancements.
• Write functional and design specifications, and work with technical publications team for documentation needs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Ability to work with different groups, teams and projects.

Required Qualifications:

• MS in computer science or engineering or related field with 7+ years of software development experience or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or related field with 10+ years of software development experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge and experience with authentication standards (SAML/OIDC etc) and technologies such as SSO, MFA, JWT,  RBAC etc.
• Extensive hands-on knowledge of identity and access management best practices, procedures, and software solutions
• Experience with one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, Go, Javascript
• Ability to quickly troubleshoot and resolve issue.

Preferences:

• Prior knowledge and experience building large scale systems based on micro-services architecture.
• Prior knowledge and experience managing application deployments in Cloud Platforms such as AWS/Azure.
• Familiarity with DevOps principles.
• Scripting exposure like Shell scripts.

Compensation varies based on location and work being performed. The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $168,914.20 – $285,858.00 for annual base salary. Employees may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses and commissions. The successful candidate’s actual pay will also be based on qualifications and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range.
