Seeking an experienced technical Principal engineer to help design and develop the next generation of Wifi Mesh architecture at Comcast.

- Build, troubleshoot and help deploy a highly scalable, reliable cloud native Mesh Wifi Control system
- Use best practices for code development
- Design and develop solutions to solve complex problems
- Understand existing code and refactor as needed.
- Fix bugs and design flaws as they are reported in existing code.
- You would be expected to actively participate in multiple projects simultaneously
- Provide feedback and reporting to senior leadership as needed.
- Have an Hands On approach in development and debugging problems
- Work independently and drive initiatives to completion.
- Proactively work on ways to improve efficiency and cost reductions.
- Work with a global team across multiple timezones with development, operations and QA engineers.
What you need to succeed
- Required
- Code development in a modern development language - GoLang, Scala preferred
- Knowledge of Java and JVM based languages
- Knowledge of Apache Kafka, Spark, MQTT or similar technologies.
- Linux internals and development in Linux based systems
- AWS Architecture experience required.
- Highly recommended
- Understand 802.11 standards for WiFi
- Willingness to learn new technologies
- Familiarly with modern databases, especially NOSQL DBs
- Excellent Communications skills and ability to work with senior leadership
