Principal Engineer – Information Security
Job Description
Verisign enables the security, stability, and resiliency of key internet infrastructure and services, including providing root zone maintainer services, operating two of the 13 global internet root servers, and providing registration services and authoritative resolution for the .com and .net top-level domains, which support the majority of global e-commerce.
The mission of the Information Security Engineering Team is to provide engineering and technical security services to improve ​the security posture of Verisign and its business partners by developing and promoting secure engineering practices and solutions that protect Verisign Employees and data.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal level Information Security Architect. Be part of a fast-paced team responsible for securing critical internet infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Security direction and guidance across the organization in a multitude of areas, including, Secure Architecture, Network, Endpoint, and Application security, Vulnerability Management, and all aspects of detection and response
- Apply Subject matter expertise to the formation of standards/guidelines and security best practices
- Assess and identify gaps in security posture and present recommendations to executive leadership
- Provide leadership, guidance, and training to other Information Security teams
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science, an equivalent technical degree or work experience
- 15 years of broad information security experience
- Possess subject matter expertise in security architecture and secure networking concepts
- Possess subject matter expertise in Endpoint Security
- Possess subject matter expertise in security solutions pertaining to containers and Kubernetes
Preferred:
- Knowledgeable with Vulnerability assessment and risk determination
- Knowledgeable with Application Security and OWASP Top 10
