As an integral part of our Reliability team in Linthicum, MD, you will define and implement reliability engineering programs to achieve Customer (both internal and external) and program reliability objectives.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience, a Master's degree with 3 years of experience or a PhD with 0 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics, or related technical fields.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Salary Range: $88,000.00 - $132,000.00
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to basepay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO)for vacation and/orpersonal business.

As an integral part of our Reliability team in Linthicum, MD, you will define and implement reliability engineering programs to achieve Customer (both internal and external) and program reliability objectives.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop, coordinate, and conduct reliability studies and evaluations of engineering design for development, production, and sustainment phases.
- Support requirement allocations and flow down to lower assembly levels.
- Develop reliability analyses (e.g., reliability predictions and complex system modeling, FMECAs, de-rating, RBD development, Fault Tree).
- Uphold the reliability technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and statistical concepts and manage the reliability programs.
- Define and implement reliability FRACAS (failure reporting, analysis, and corrective action system) programs to prioritize opportunities for affordability improvements. Effort includes chairing Failure Review Boards, completing data mining, identifying trends, prioritizing failure modes, investigating, and ensuring effective corrective action closure.
- Develop plans and lead reliability growth programs (including reliability growth analysis, scoring conference support, etc.).
- Support subcontractor evaluation, selection, and coordinate activities with respect to reliability needs.
- Lead and participate in design reviews, reliability analysis and modeling while engaging external customer/internal stakeholders.
- Support program Engineering Configuration Change Board (CCB) and Corrective Action Board (CAB).
- Ability to interpret Engineering drawings/schematics and collaborate across functional teams (including systems engineers, design engineers, component engineers, mission assurance, manufacturing, test, and program management)
- Work with reliability prediction beyond Mil-Hdbk-217, e.g., VITA 51.1, PoF, field performance, etc. and Windchill Quality Solutions and Reliasoft reliability analysis tools
Basic Qualifications:

- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain or maintain active secret DoD clearance
- Experience with designing technical presentations and communicating them to internal and external stakeholders
- Working knowledge of Agile, Jira, and Confluence
- Experience writing final-version deliverable technical documents and reports
- Ability to travel occasionally CONUS and OCONUS (10% or less)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degrees in engineering, science, software, or business administration
- Active DoD Secret, Top Secret Clearance with SCI
- Knowledge of maintainability, testability and logistic support, system safety and human factors design practices and their interrelationship with Reliability
- Knowledge of design and manufacturing processes
