Principal Engineer - Systems
This position is for a systems engineer who can provide continuous production engineering support for all RF testing and data collection relating aspects to AMRAAM antenna hardware, as well as project-based improvement efforts.
What You'll Do:

• Assess, disposition test result anomalies.
• Work with Manufacturing engineering team to drive root cause investigation and corrective actions.
• Monitor and proactively take corrective actions for test related SPC data.
• Review and approve customer facing data packages and communications.
• Improvement and non-recurring engineering projects to include improving data analytics and technician facing SPC dashboards, auditing, and updated procedures, analyzing and interpreting data for any NRE equipment efforts, and compiling/presenting customer facing technical reports and packages.

• Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
• Perform other duties as necessary.

What You'll Need:

• BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is required plus 12 or more years related experience.
• Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
• RF experience preferred.
• Matlab experience preferred.

On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel a​nd local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.

• May access other facilities in various weather conditions.

A DoD Interim Secret clearance will be required to start work and required to be maintained to continue work. Higher level clearance or access with Polygraph is not required to be eligible for this position, however applicant must be willing and eligible for submission, depending on program requirements, after an offer is accepted and must be able to maintain the applicable clearance/access.
Relocation for this position is available.
Direct Program Charge: 95%
Compensation & Benefits:

• HIRING SALARY RANGE: $150,000 - $189,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
