Job Description:

Microchip's USB and Networking Group is looking for a Principal Test Engineer to join our Test Development team and help to support new product and sustaining test engineering covering a wide-range of digital and mixed-signal devices.

  • Work in a team environment interacting with product engineers, designers, architecture, applications and marketing to achieve common goal of success product launch.
  • Effectively communicating progress of test development, implementation, debugging, sustaining support for test programs for production, qualification support and device characterization.
  • Development and characterization of DC parametrics and digital logic testing at both wafer and package level to provide high quality devices to our customers at minimum costs.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts surrounding automotive level quality and test time reduction (TTR) to meet target business unit gross margins.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Job Requirements

  • BS degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel).
  • Outstanding written and verbal skill are a must with a focus on attention to detail
  • Experience with driving a complex test project
  • Strong analytical skills to review ATE test data and validate to correlation bench results.
  • Good understanding of semiconductor devices.
  • Experience with bench laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, supplies, and DMM.
  • Ability to comprehend and review design objective specifications and datasheets.
