Position : Principal, Enterprise Data Architect
Role Description
As a Principal Enterprise Architect, Data you will be a leader in the technology organization responsible for partnering with and guiding executives, product, and engineering teams in the strategy, planning and execution of business and technology initiatives. As part of a team of Enterprise Architects, you will report to the Vice President of Enterprise Architecture and align to the Data Platform & Analytics platform which enables holistic capabilities for data storage, integration, consumption and management that enable us to deliver our innovative care model to patients.

The delivery of Enterprise Architecture services includes;
- Supporting the evolution and execution of business strategies and evolution of capabilities
- Guiding product and project teams with holistic architecture solutions to enable the design, development and delivery of technology
- Analyzing the technology portfolio to enable the creation of technology strategies and investment plans
Core Responsibilities:
- Partner with business and product teams to become a trusted partner and advisor with expertise in the related business capabilities and outcomes to create target state architectures
- Guide the development of technology solutions across a diverse technology ecosystem of applications, platforms and vendors using Business, Conceptual and Solution Architecture approaches with attention to data and integration design
- Enable innovation through analysis of market trends and emerging technologies to identify and manage risks and opportunities and guide investment decisions
- Facilitate business and IT alignment, connecting strategy to execution, driving the organizationâs goals of business growth, patient experience and clinical operations
- Develop, socialize and govern the evolution of standards, reference architectures, patterns, and principals
- Lead analysis of the technology landscape environment to identify gaps, technical debt and recommend solutions for improvement which optimize cost, improve operations and solution sustainability
- Manage, mentor, and provide architectural guidance across the organization by communicating the value of Enterprise Architecture, service offering and instill architectural and design thinking approaches
- Create and evolve architecture practices, services and operating model
- Collaborate with the portfolio management team to improve and manage the intake and analysis process (including design and estimation) as well as to improve the Product and IT operating model
- Other duties as assigned
What we're looking for
- A hands-on technologist with deep expertise in enterprise systems architecture, solution design, integration design, new product assessments and new technology assessments
- Ability to work effectively as an organizer and influencer to drive effective decision making across multiple technology and business functional units while delivering in a fast paced iterative environment
- Track record of executing technical and market analysis alongside consuming business objectives and requirements to produce insights, recommendations and actionable strategies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills using strong visualization and storytelling techniques to achieve buy-in and express complex concepts
- Deep expertise in data warehouses, lakes, operational data stores, data modeling, data architecture as well as data integration methodologies and patterns including experience with Azure SQL and Data Lake and Palantir Foundry or other solutions
- Expertise in strategies for data consumption through different methodologies and patterns to support Operational, Analytical and Data Science teams
- Strong experience in data integration patterns and solutions including iPaaS, APIs, event-driven architecture as well as ETL across different types of applications, SaaS solutions and vendors
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture tools, related graphical models, and frameworks
- Minimum 10 years experience in roles creating architecture and strategy for data platforms
- Minimum 10 years of architecture or delivery experience in at least three disciplines, such as data modeling, middleware and integration, data science and analytics, data warehousing
- Masters or Bachelors degree in computer science, computer engineering, a related field of study, or equivalent work experience
- Nice to have: Healthcare experience with EMR solutions, Population Health, Clinic and Primary care solutions
- Some travel required (10%)
