Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

In addition to the responsibilities defined within the Lead Enterprise Resilience Analyst job description:

  • Engage with a broad range of stakeholders while delivering on a variety of initiatives aligned to strategic Enterprise Resilience Office roadmaps.
  • Develop and maintain policy, framework, lifecycle, and standard documentation of internal program requirements and controls needed to provide enterprise resilience.
  • Consult and partner with stakeholders in other internal programs to identify, collaborate, support, and monitor their resilience objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal risk teams, committees, councils, internal/external auditors, and regulatory agencies in providing governance and responses to exams, audits, assessments, and/or reviews.
  • Coordination of Enterprise Resilience Office communications and working group meetings including planning and facilitating forums and documenting meetings minutes and action items as required.
  • Facilitate Enterprise Resilience Office governance related activities including reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPI), Key Risk Indicators (KRI) and program control indicators.
  • Consulting on Third Party contracts and assessments, as required.
  • Coaching and consulting stakeholders on Enterprise Resilience Office best practices, regulatory requirements, and organizational controls.
  • Prepare cost and benefit analyses, prioritize assignments, and manage and control the overall progress of all Enterprise Resilience Office projects and Enterprise-wide resilience related projects. Ensuring those projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with Fifth Third policies and practices.
  • Plan, schedule, oversee, and document all required Enterprise Resilience Office exercises.
  • Manage Enterprise-wide policies, procedures, and standards related to the Enterprise Resilience Office.
  • Implement plans and strategic direction for contingency and recovery planning. Advise and assist Business Unit Management with the implementation of effective business continuance and recovery programs. Advise and report regularly on progress toward meeting policies.
  • Be an expert on foundational elements of the Enterprise Resilience Office programs, such as completing business impact analyses, determining mission critical business processes, identifying acceptable recovery time periods, and establishing resources required for the successful resilience or resumption of business operations in the event of a business interruption threat.
  • Provide leadership in working with other business units to ensure emergency procedures remain accurate and effective as continual changes to the enterprise happen.
  • Participate on emergency response teams, as necessary.
  • Be on call throughout the year (24x7x365) to respond to any escalated business interrupting event.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of communication plans for employees, business partners, customers, and media in the event of a disaster.
  • Work with business units to establish reasonable and cost-effective resilience and/or business process continuance plans and strategies.
  • Provide leadership and oversight to annual enterprise-wide exercises.
  • Work with business units to establish reasonable and cost-effective disaster recovery plans and strategies.
  • Review and coordinate the restoration time requirements between the Business Lines and IT/Operational divisions, assisting in the identification of how much data and time the Business Lines can afford to lose.
  • Develop a working knowledge of and utilization for off-site storage of media, hard copy to assist the business units in the preservation of vital records.
  • Effectively communicate and work closely with internal Fifth Third business units and external vendors to guarantee that Fifth Third has the capability to recover the production systems in a timely manner in the event of an extended business interruption.
  • Be an expert on the Enterprise Resilience Office software and other technologies. This may include the development of new capabilities, new reporting, partnering with the vendor for enhancements, be active in the external community of system users looking for best practices and opportunities for continued program improvement (efficiency and effectiveness).
  • Respond to Enterprise Resilience Office system outages in a manner that aligns with Enterprise IT Incident Management.
  • Ensure Fifth Third Bancorp meets/exceeds any internal and external regulatory requirements.
  • Assimilate, develop, and deliver Operational Resilience and Business Continuity Management related training to those with specific defined and associated responsibilities within applicable program frameworks. This may include new hires, stakeholders, and leaders by serving as a subject matter expert and resource for questions and/or issues accordingly.
  • Works across Enterprise Resilience Office teams to maintain and keep knowledge up to date. Stay up to date with regulations and best practices in the field of resilience, risk, and business continuity management.
  • Act as a champion for change by advocating value and purpose of Enterprise Resilience Office and modeling appropriate behaviors; providing coaching and training to existing departments/customers as needed.
  • Lead, own, identify, and recommend risk reduction ideas.
  • Provide leadership in the development and ongoing maintenance of the Enterprise Resilience Office Landing Pages.
  • Provide leadership in the maintenance of Enterprise Resilience Office SharePoint storage and other program storage locations.
  • Provide leadership in the development and maintenance of training materials for the Enterprise Resilience Office.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Be active with outside contingency planning professional organizations and local/regional emergency response groups.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

May at times manage personnel and report to the Senior Director, Enterprise Resilience Office (Chief Enterprise Resilience Officer), or an alternative supervisor as assigned.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and abilities Required:

  • College degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of equivalent experience within the practice of operational resilience, emergency management, or business continuity management, preferably within a Financial Institution.
  • Ability to build upon Enterprise Resilience knowledge and pass knowledge on to others to broaden team scope of Enterprise Resilience, enhancing overall Bancorp resilience.
  • Demonstrated organizational, leadership and facilitation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Models the skills and behaviors being taught; demonstrates the Fifth Third vision, values and competencies in all activities and interactions with others.
  • Working knowledge of and experience with event planning, instructional design, adult learning theory and project management
  • Provides positive/constructive feedback to guide partners to successfully complete Enterprise Resilience activities and processes.
  • Team-oriented and flexible, adaptable to virtual team environment. Views learning as an ongoing effective means to drive performance.
  • Proficient in most Windows Office based technologies and software programs

Working Conditions:

  • Normal office environment with little exposure to dust, noise, temperature, etc.
  • Limited overnight business travel may be required from time to time.
  • Lifting and physical requirements of 25 pounds (moving tables, chairs, equipment, and carrying materials, supplies, boxes)
  • Physical ability to operate training equipment (pc, projectors, easels, etc.)
