Principal Frontend Engineer

This role is designed for a senior frontend engineering expert who wants to shape and scale a high-impact SaaS platform used by thousands of organizations. You will lead the development of complex, large-scale frontend systems that power analytics, marketing, and engagement tools for mission-driven customers. Working in a fully remote, collaborative product engineering environment, you will own features end-to-end—from design and architecture through deployment and ongoing maintenance. The role combines deep technical leadership with hands-on development in React and TypeScript, with a strong emphasis on performance, scalability, and maintainability. You will partner closely with designers, backend engineers, and stakeholders to translate business needs into elegant, production-ready solutions. This is a high-ownership role where your work directly influences product quality, user experience, and long-term platform evolution.

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable frontend applications using React and TypeScript, ensuring performance, security, and long-term maintainability.
• Own features across the full development lifecycle, including planning, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and ongoing improvements.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define requirements and deliver intuitive, high-quality user experiences.
• Break down complex technical challenges into actionable components and deliver robust, production-ready solutions aligned with business needs.
• Participate in code reviews, mentor other engineers, and help establish best practices for frontend architecture and development standards.
• Integrate frontend applications with APIs and backend services while ensuring reliability, scalability, and data integrity.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on SaaS and large-scale frontend systems.
• Expertise in React and TypeScript, with demonstrated experience building and maintaining complex, production-grade applications.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, frontend-backend integration, and data modeling for scalable applications.
• Experience with automated testing practices and maintaining high code quality in production environments.
• Proven ability to own and deliver end-to-end software features in fast-paced, product-driven teams.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with CI/CD workflows, containerized environments, or tools like Storybook is a plus.
