Principal Insights Analyst - Esports

As a Principal Insights Analyst on Esports Digital, you will help grow our Esports organization to the next level by building analytical frameworks that allow our teams to develop the outstanding esports products, scale our operational capabilities, and forecast growth and revenue across several existing and upcoming esports. You'll partner with our Publishing and Esports leads and external product partners throughout the company to improve our understanding of players, fans, and evolving parts of the ecosystem. You will report to the Head of Esports R&D Strategy.

• Partner with senior leaders and product teams to develop and own the insights roadmap for R&D productsOwn project scoping and solution development of highly complex/ambiguous problem spaces around the esport audience experience. Engage with BU leadership to inform them of fan needs and inform how their orgs can engage
• Establish org. wide frameworks and approaches toward understanding esport audience’s viewing and engagement preferences globally
• Communicate strategic recommendations and product outcomes to senior leaders and decision makers
• Evaluate insight system needs and lead efforts to design, develop, implement technology to provide coverage including dashboarding, analysis, reporting, and telemetry tools
• Build and manage a small team (1-2 direct reports) over the course of the first 12-18 months

• BA in Economics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline
• 9+ years experience using statistical analysis, simulations, and predictive modeling to analyze information and develop practical solutions to business problems
• 6+ years of managing multimodal studies and presenting findings to diverse partners/executives
• Strong experience identifying and breaking down complex problems and problem spaces using various business or product frameworks and crafting optimal solutions for our players and our business
• Proficiency with SQL, Databricks, Tableau or similar data management and visualization tools
• Ability to own and drive workstreams collaboratively across functional team of designers, product managers, and engineers
• Strong communication and presentation skills with senior stakeholders

• MBA or relevant work experience in strategy consulting
• Knowledge of applied statistics, multimodal analysis (merging research and telemetry data streams)
• Experience with marketing technologies and digital media analytics
• Experience in gaming, sports, or media/entertainment industry
