Principal IT Architect - Remote

This position provides technology leadership by understanding the line of business and IT strategy, and by providing the leadership required for an IT Service or Solution Area to align with Magellan's Strategic direction.

• Lead a team of IT architects and other technologists and drive architecture efforts.
• Function as an effective coach and mentor to other IT architects within their team to build organizational muscle.
• Be a hands-on architect as needed to drive detailed and evolutionary designs while working across the organization with other IT Solution and Service Owners.
• Understand business and IT strategy to provide specific technical/architectural guidance for a solution/service area.
• Mindful of the Healthcare Industry and Digital Health trends.
• Other duties as assigned.

6+ years related experience including a minimum of 3+ years of designing, building and maintaining software in IT.

Strong coaching capability.

Data modeling skills.

Expert in modern technologies and languages, development patterns, data modeling, cloud/PaaS and application integration technologies.

Broader experience across IT or across different industries (for external hires) is a must.

Critical Thinker.

Demonstrated problem solving techniques.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

$178,890

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
