Job Details:
Job Summary: Performs complex software engineering assignments and programming support for Cubic's Atlassian systems. Provides technical guidance and leadership. Provides project coordination, and supervision. Defines budget and schedule constraints. This position typically works under limited supervision and direction. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Evangelizes engineering's adoption of agile/SCRUM principles.
- Migrates and consolidates data from non-Atlassian tools to the Atlassian stack
- Integrates core engineering tools (Primavera P6, JIRA, Aha!, Slack, BitBucket, Confluence, TestRail, SD Elements)
- Acts as the Product Owner for all of the Atlassian tool suite; Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Crowd.
- Owns the completion of the consolidation and upgrade of existing Atlassian instances to standardize deployment of tools to meet business requirements, to include coordinating teams with no direct reporting line to oneself.
- Standardizes periodic upgrades to keep tools up to date regularly.
- Manages ~10,000 user license for Jira and configured projects, workflows, permissions, notifications, and other schemes to satisfy requirements while following best practices.
- Evaluates, implements, and fine tunes third-party plugins and add-ons.
- Build advanced scripts, rollups and filters for use with plugins such as, but not limited to, Adaptivist ScriptRunner and JCMF.
- Troubleshoots Java VM with respect to Atlassian products. Configure tools to remove errors.
- Builds dashboards and custom filters with JQL for management visibility.
- Plans and follows IT application development and deployment processes.
- Maintains project source control and adhering to change control processes.
- Provides accurate time estimates for development tasks and projects.
- Coordinates support cases with third party vendors.
- Coordinates and develops project concepts, objectives, specifications and resource needs.
- Prepares design specifications, analyses and recommendations.
- Participates in the design, development, planning, modification and/or improvement of software operational systems.
- Researches programming system failures and designs and programs solutions.
- Performs system analysis.
- Conceptualizes, develops and analyzes engineering designs, specifications and test plans for systems and equipment based on customer/contract requirements.
- Researches design concepts and feasibility utilizing advanced technical theory and knowledge.
- Prepares design proposals to reflect cost, schedule and technical approaches.
- Recommends test control, strategies, apparatus and equipment.
- Defines test schedules and test data requirements. Tests software and documents results.
- Prepares development software, codes software and designs specific enhancements.
- Maintains liaison with customer, subcontractor and vendor representatives.
- Evaluates vendor capabilities to provide required products or services.
- Conducts in-house design reviews and technical meetings.
- Makes presentations before management and customers.
- Monitors project status and progress and measures system performance.
- Manages budget and schedule for software engineering tasks.
- Identifies software engineering process improvements, and supports the execution of them across the organization.
- Shows commitment to company values, ethics, safety, security, labor charging, and quality.
- Assumes additional technical responsibilities as needed.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Person.
- Four-year college degree, or equivalent, in a technical field, plus eight years of programming experience including three years of Java programming or Java troubleshooting.
- Core understanding of Atlassian products, how they are used and managed.
- Expertise in Atlassian tool suite; Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Crowd.
- Proven ability to develop software.
- Requires experience in Relational Database Design and MSSQL.
- Requires experience using MS Windows operating systems and database functions, languages and utilities.
- Preferred experience with JQL and Windows server.
- Understanding of business functions and processes required.
- Understands and appreciates good User Interface Design.
- Proficient written and verbal communications skills required.
- Ability to analyze and solve technical problems.
- Experience and enthusiasm for working with and building a great team.
- Self-motivated to drive solutions.

(Colorado only*) Targeted full-time salary range between $120,699- 152,186 + benefits.

(New York only**) Targeted full-time salary range between $134,296- 196,544 + benefits.

(California only***) Targeted full-time salary range between $ 141,007- 192,381 + benefits.

(Washington only****) Targeted full-time salary range between $ 135,197- 170,466 + benefits outlined above.
