Principal Lead Consultant

Purpose and Scope:

Amentum is seeking a Principal Lead Consultant to be based out of our Aiken, SC office. The Principal Lead Consultant is responsible for providing guidance, analysis, studies and recommendations for multiple discipline areas in the nuclear environment within schedule and budget of an assigned project. Additional responsibilities may be assigned according to the needs of the company, project, or contract.
Essential Responsibilities:
 

1.Prepares, reviews and approves documents as required.

2.Prepares and makes presentations to client and company management.

3.Assists with interpreting requirements and regulations as it relates to a specific discipline.

4.Ensures quality, quantity, and completeness of the assigned tasks and work products.

5.Advanced level of specialized knowledge in one or more disciplines and a basic understanding of others.

6.Fully versed in business development concepts and methods and supports the project proposal process.

7.Fully versed with the process of preparing and checking documentation as well as the approval, revision, retention, and storage.

8.Fully versed in the collection and/or evaluation of data and information regarding technical and economic factors including physical, chemical, environmental, maintenance, operational, regulatory, constructability, and/or schedule factors relating to a specific subject within a discipline.

9.Capable of performing project management tasks.

10.Reviews and advises on subcontracts.

11.Assists with the development of manpower, man-hour and labor cost requirements to aid in evaluating the budget.

12.Fully understands the planning and scheduling of engineering/operational tasks.

13.Understands the project change control process and identifies potential changes.

14.Can integrate all project functional requirements into a complete project plan.

15.Builds productive relationships with organizations.

16.Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Bachelor of Science degree (or equivalent education) in an appropriate discipline from a four-year accredited college or university.

15+ years of professional experience in a discipline or specialty.

Defense Programs experience

Facility Manager experience

Project engineering and project management experience

Shift operations experience

Work control experience

Equipment Engineering experience

Good oral and written communication skills; working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.

Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.

Must be U.S. citizen.

Position will require travel.
