About the Team:

We are the Native Platform Engineering Team.

We're searching for a motivated mobile application developer to help us build the next generation architecture at eBay. Together, we will delight millions of customers a year.

Job Requirements:

• Proven extensive experience in designing, building, refactoring and releasing native apps.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in Agile teams is desirable
• Expertise with complex networking environments and how to optimize them for mobile applications is highly desirable
• Proven experience with iOS and/or Android and will expect heavy development in this IC role (Kotlin/Swift/Objective-C)
• Experience with TDD, pairing, code reviews, and other techniques to maintain high-quality code and resiliency.

Job Functions:

• You will be a member of our native mobile architecture team, building the next generation of infrastructure to support our highly available and highly resilient apps.
• Help us support tooling updates
• Support Core Product developers with debugging issues with tooling and device OS updates
• Work closely with every Core Product domain on feature and architecture implementation
• We follow agile practices and focus on continual improvement in our practices, driven from the ground up. We expect you to advocate for improvements in code and culture, and to support your colleagues in the same.
• Work well with team members and other teams, dividing up workload appropriately.
• Partner and collaborate with other organizations throughout eBay.
• Experience with modern techniques and recommendations from Apple and/or Google for high performance app architecture
• As part of the team, you'll also share your knowledge with the wider team as well as learning about and contributing to our core app experience.
