Principal Modal Insights Manager
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Cultivate resources and relationships for comprehensive market insights
- Stay informed on market trends and strategies to help form perspectives, assemble supporting content, and compose thematic narratives
- Collaborate with commercial and capacity leaders on market insights and key messaging
- Generate comprehensive materials for both internal and external audiences that over market insights through a variety of mediums
- Serve as the lead resource to internal business groups on the market, research, and our resource/reference materials
- Share insights utilizing diverse formats for communication, including weekly market videos, quarterly calls, client meetings and personalized mentoring sessions
- Act as a trusted advisor and unbiased educator to senior leaders to prepare them for customer connections
- Explore and maintain university relationships with programs in supply chain and/or transportation research
- Propose and manage an annual set of academic research projects that support market cycles, unique disruptors, and C.H. Robinson products
- Collaborate with marketing to commercialize insights
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum 10 or more years of commercial, carrier and/or operations experience
- Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights
- Ability to travel up to 20%
Preferred Qualifications:
- Collaborative team player with proven ability to work across department functions and business teams
- Proven experience in leading without authority
- Ability to take multiple pieces of data/information and narrow it down to impactful presentation
- Deep experience in NAST with well-informed position for global forwarding and TMC
- Skills and accomplishments developed over professional tenure:
- Shipper on-site account management experience
- Experience/awareness of carrier operations/dispatch centers and time with carriers/drivers
- Account management experience. Especially with larger multi-mode client segments
- Project management skills
