This role will interact with experienced Advanced Modeling Engineers, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Process Engineers, and IT teams to identify questions and issues for modeling projects and improvement of existing modeling methods and platforms. In this position, you will help develop software programs, algorithms, and automated modeling solutions. There will be significant opportunities to perform exploratory and new solution development activities.
The Advanced modeling technologist will be responsible for predictive stress/strain modeling across multiple DRAM and NAND nodes. The modeling engineer will collaborate extensively with PI and process teams for root cause identification, model development, deployment, and providing solutions to be implemented on Si.
Job Description Summary
In this role, you will design develop, and program methods, processes, and systems to build predictive models to generate useful insights and solutions. You will interact with process engineers and PI teams to identify questions and issues for data analysis and experiments. Develops and codes software programs, algorithms, and computational modeling tools. Identifies significant insights from modeling and data; interprets and communicates insights and findings from analysis and experiments to engineering teams and leaders.
What you will bring to Micron:
- Experience in method development and numerical implementation.
- Advanced skills in multiscale modeling, local-global models, RVE, super elements, BEM, J-integral, nonlinear structure, and materials models.
- Experience with FSI, DD, and molecular dynamics.
- Established skills in building ML/DL/AI models using simulation and fab data.
- Experience with user documentation, reports, and presentation to managers and leaders.
- Predict and advise mitigation of stress-related challenges ahead of Si.
- Handle face-to-face interactions with all internal partners/collaborators in Boise, Idaho.
- Strong software development skills.
Requirements for this position:
- BS, M.S., or PhD Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
- 5-10 years of proven experience industry with relevant experience.
- Skilled in Multiphysics FEA methodology to estimate stress/displacements/deformation/distortion.
- Proven expertise in solid and fracture mechanics modeling.
- Solid Python experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
