Job Summary:

The Principal Pricing Strategist provides expertise, recommendations, and direction for developing market-centric pricing and incentive models for Surescripts' portfolio of solutions. This role resides in the Product Commercialization function and partners closely with business leaders that understand buyer's needs. This role is a key contributor to new business case development and teams that lead go-to-market planning. The incumbent will use analytical skills and strong business and financial acumen to develop innovative business models. The Principal Pricing Strategist will work in a fast-paced environment, independently, and cross-functionally (across Product Innovation, Finance, Customer Group, Corporate Strategy, and Marketing) to drive best practices in our pricing strategy.

Responsibilities:
  • Advises Product Commercialization leaders on network economics, owns the thought leadership and design on pricing strategies that align value and network effects.
  • Sets the direction for Surescripts pricing strategy leveraging an understanding of Surescripts customers' economics and how Surescripts' solutions contribute value.
  • Collaborate with Product Innovation and Corporate Strategy to propose incentive models, and price points for new offerings, or packages of offerings.
  • Serve as the expert on competitive and pricing sensitivity analysis on similar products and services.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Accounting to develop pricing, incentive, and invoicing models.
  • Support the development of product packaging opportunities to align Surescripts portfolio according to buyer's needs.
  • Conduct market research into buying processes and customer expectations on business models, and invoicing practices.
  • Lead opportunities to optimize cost of goods across a portfolio of offerings


Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of experience in related, progressive roles of business-to-business pricing
  • Experience using advanced functions in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Vision, Word
  • Experience in network economics


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in business, mathematics, economics, or related field
  • Experience in the healthcare or technology industry
