Our team is seeking a Principal Product Design Engineer to develop and launch design enhancements for both gas and electric consumer cooking products. This will involve the creation of prototypes, conducting performance evaluations, and ensuring that the products comply with technical specifications and regulatory requirements.

The Principal Product Design Engineer will utilize Lean manufacturing principles to create new designs, with a focus on gas components. They will also supervise performance and reliability testing in compliance with both internal and agency requirements. In addition to this, the engineer will provide engineering solutions to any development process issues that arise.

How You'll Create Possibilities

• Lead the design and development of innovative products from concept to production.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet performance, cost, and quality objectives.
• Utilize CAD tools for design and simulation.
• Conduct design reviews and risk assessments.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.

What You'll Bring to Our Team

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred
• 7+ years of experience in product design engineering
• Proficiency in CAD software
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials
• Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills.
• Experience in a regulated industry is a plus.
