Monarch came out of private beta in early 2021. Since that time we have quickly become one of the premier ways to manage your financial life. Our founding team consists of product-driven serial entrepreneurs with multiple exits. Additionally our CEO was one of the original creators of Mint.com and has a unique perspective on what is needed to meet consumers' needs in this market.

We are passionate about building a company product and brand that both customers and employees love. We are well-funded by top venture firms and angel investors.

We founded the company as a fully-remote team (pre Covid!) and are open to applicants that live within a 5 hour time zone difference of US Pacific Time.

Responsibilities:

• Design Excellence: Spend the vast majority of time on core product design work using Figma ensuring high-quality visuals and user experiences are consistently delivered.

• Collaborative Development: Occasionally run UX research with customers presenting prototypes to gather actionable feedback and contribute to the improvement and development of new features.

• Strategic Contributions: Within the first 90 days get up to speed with Monarch’s design style take ownership of new design product projects and run UX research projects when necessary.

Technologies:

• Primary Tool: Extensive use of Figma for designing and prototyping.

• Supportive Knowledge: Familiarity with HTML CSS and React is appreciated but not mandatory.

Requirements:

• Professional Experience: Strong background in product design within a consumer-focused company with a minimum of 4 years of experience.

• Design Skills: Exceptional visual design skills with a keen attention to detail combined with a product/systems thinking approach.

• Collaborative Skills: Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams including direct collaboration with founders and the product engineering team.

Nice to Have:

• Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of HTML CSS and React to support design implementation.

• Innovative Thinking: Experience with 0 to 1 projects and consumer mobile app design showcasing the ability to think holistically about product challenges.
