The Platform Product Manager is a critical leadership role. The person will be responsible for planning and shaping both hardware (HW) and software (SW) platforms working with A10 product management and engineering leadership, respective engineering, product management, sales, finance, and operations functional leads.

Job Description

The Platform Product Manager's role is to:

• Own the roadmap, vision, and KPIs that will differentiate the complete lineup of HW and SW platforms. You will work with all stakeholders to maintain a three-year roadmap.
• Influence and maintain alignment across all stakeholders.
• Drive execution of the product strategy, manage and mitigate risks.
• Own the new product introduction (NPI) process and life cycle for all platforms.
• Act as domain expert in HW and SW technologies and serve as the voice of the customer.
• Identify specific technologies for next-gen HW platforms including SMART-NICs, ARM processors, and open-source innovations.
• Identify innovations to incorporate into SW platforms (bare metal, container, and virtual machine).
• Work with all stakeholders to maintain an enduring leadership position in performance and functionality.

Required Skills

• 15 years of related technical and product management experience.
• Previous experience designing two or three year roadmaps for HW and SW platforms.
• Cross-functional team collaborative mindset.
• Domain expertise in modern technologies, as they are used in HW platforms, such as ARM-processors, new generation HW assist technologies, and open-source initiatives such as P4.
• Domain expertise in Linux-based SW platforms delivered as bare metal, virtual machine, and container.
• Bonus points for experience in taking SW platforms to public cloud.
• Experience in implementing technology solutions in an Agile framework.
• Domain experience from leading networking and/or security companies (e.g., Cisco, Citrix, F5, Juniper, Fortinet, etc.) as a key contributor or leader in regards to HW and SW platform strategy.
• Bonus points for having a business transformational mindset.
