About the opportunity
Ontra is seeking a Principal Product Manager reporting to the GM of our Insight product.
Ontra's Insight product transforms contracts, allowing asset managers to centralize documents, compare and benchmark key provisions, and comply with contractual obligations.
This role is a great opportunity for someone looking to champion Ontra's efforts to drive product strategy and exceed our clients' expectations. You will identify and prioritize product goals, and empower your stakeholders to execute in a high growth environment. The Principal Product Manager will propose and execute a product strategy that will prepare Insight for long term growth. A sense of urgency, customer-first mindset, and the ability to communicate with cross functional stakeholders are critical to the success of this role.

What you'll do
  • Mastery: Be recognized as a market, competitive, customer, product and business expert by peers
  • Build: Build strong relationships with UX, Engineering, and Machine Learning leadership to execute on product strategy
  • Align: Work closely with sales, marketing and customer success leadership to have a deep understanding of their teams' current priorities and ensure all leaders understand how our product strategy aligns with Ontra's business strategy
  • Engage: Talk to customers at least 3x per week, including onsite customer visits and attending industry conferences
  • Prioritize: Product priorities have clearly defined goals that are understood by the rest of the organization and the outcomes of product development work is tracked and shared
  • Execute: Work with business and R&D to come up with aggressive deadlines, deliver, and move quickly

What you'll bring
  • Product Experience: 10+ years in a product leadership role, experience in asset management or financial services a plus
  • Customer Obsession: Customers are top of mind for you and the product team in all decision making. Demonstrate exceptional ease when communicating with clients individually, in groups, over Zoom, on-site, and face-to-face.
  • Insight and Analytical Thinking: Able to structure and process quantitative and qualitative data, draw insightful conclusions and tell a compelling story. Exhibits a probing mind and achieves penetrating insights.
  • Communication: Be extremely comfortable providing context to different stakeholders. Understand how R&nD teams communicate vs. business teams and be able to work with both simultaneously.
  • Urgency: Instills a strong sense of urgency and holds everyone accountable for delivering on complex, cross functional initiatives.

Pay transparency
Ontra publishes salary ranges on our salary board here: https://bit.ly/3UjAOE3, which currently includes estimated annual cash salary ranges for candidates based in Colorado and New York City, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Ontra leverages current market data to determine compensation, so posted figures are subject to change as new market data becomes available.
Ontra factors in your location when benchmarking compensation for most roles. If you are not located in Colorado or New York City and have been selected to participate in our interview process, we encourage you to speak with your recruiter about compensation for the role during an initial conversation.
In addition to cash salary, the total compensation package Ontra offers includes unit-based compensation (if applicable). Certain roles in our sales and account management departments may also be eligible to receive variable compensation or commission.
