Principal Product Manager, Supply Chain and Data Services
Job Description
We’re seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead our digitization roadmap for Supply Chain and Data Services, identifying opportunities and priorities for intelligent automation and using AI/ML in developing customer obsessed digital solutions.Â
You will play a crucial role in driving the strategic direction and success of the product portfolio in Data Services. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, operations and sales, to develop and execute the product roadmap. Your expertise in both technology and product management will be instrumental in defining and delivering innovative products that meet customer needs and propel our company's growth.
With a proven track-record of using technology to automate processes as well as evolve and future-proof back end services, this person will help scale service delivery and first pass yield for all our business and operating units. A customer-first mindset, strong understanding of back-end and front-end technologies will significantly improve service quality. A strong data oriented approach will help track, analyze, and improve our digital product offers and develop user friendly UI’s to evaluate, onboard workitems/packages quickly.Â
The role requires a candidate who has excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. This is a customer-centric role, working to translate the needs of users, internal and external, into digital business opportunities.
You will:- Drive strategies and long-term vision to build best-in-class digital products in data services
- Conduct user research and usability studies, collaborating with designers, developers, and research teams throughout the process
- Craft a product vision (short- and long-term) and convert it to concrete strategy, first for internal use and then to externalize, aligned with the company vision
- Participate in market research, validation, and white space analysis to identify opportunities for new or existing features and functionalities
- Partner with business owners, engineers and agile product teams to build roadmaps that will be reflected in the company's broader portfolio planning and prioritize based on topline opportunities
- Develop and implement pipelines that extract, transform, and load data into an information product
- Strategic Product Planning: Develop and refine the product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with the company's overall business goals. Translate market trends, customer insights, and competitive analysis into actionable product plans.
- Product Development and Execution: Drive end-to-end product development processes, from concept ideation and requirements gathering to launch and post-launch evaluation. Ensure effective collaboration with engineering teams to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to ensure alignment and effective execution of product strategies. Act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, facilitating communication and managing expectations.
- Customer Focus: Conduct market research, gather customer feedback, and analyze user data to identify customer needs and opportunities for product enhancements. Champion a customer-centric approach to product development and ensure the delivery of user-friendly and impactful solutions.
- Technical Expertise: Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape. Leverage your deep technical knowledge to make informed decisions, evaluate technical feasibility, and guide the development of scalable and innovative solutions.
- Performance Measurement: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly monitor product performance, making data-driven decisions to drive continuous improvement. Prepare and present comprehensive reports on product metrics, achievements, and challenges to executive leadership.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in technical product management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex technology products to market
- 5+ years of experience in operational leadership
- Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering innovative and customer-centric solutions.
- Deep technical knowledge and familiarity with software development methodologies and processes.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to balance technical and commercial considerations to drive product success.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proven experience in building solutions with AI/ML/NLP/database modeling
- Experience with SQL queries and with back-end and front-end programming languages (e.g., Java, HTML, CSS)
- Experience in digitizing end to end or parts of the Supply chain/Cross Border
