Job Description

Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning are going mainstream, especially with the breakthrough innovations in and adoption of Large Language Models (LLMs). Databricks is investing deeply in this space with a range of innovations - from release of open-source LLM Dolly and underlying datasets, to making it simpler and faster to use LLMs on Databricks Lakehouse Platform. All these innovations are driving significantly higher interest from customers to do use LLMs and in general doing ML on Databricks.

The new ML principal product marketing manager will lead marketing across all LLMs related offerings at Databricks. You will report to the Senior Director of Product Marketing and develop the marketing strategy for how Databricks can uniquely empower ML teams to accelerate LLM-based solution development. You will work closely with all teams within the Marketing organization, as well as a specialized technical sales team, to promote adoption of Databricks LLM services and the open source technologies that underpin the platform.

The impact you will have:

  • Own the value proposition, messaging, collateral and GTM for LLMs and land it across channels - including web, field, partners and events
  • Create an always-on go-to-market plan, and pilot new programs with a strong focus on winning mindshare to increase awareness (e.g. registrations, downloads, views), demand ($ pipeline) and product adoption (usage) of LLM offerings and services
  • Build a strong and collaborative partnership with our engineering team to create a regular rhythm of landing product news and deliver high impact announcements
  • Increase global reach by working with field marketing teams, developer advocacy, industry, events and partner organization to help scale the business globally
  • Build trust with ML audience by publishing 10 new recognizable references in this space within the first year

What we look for:

  • 7+ years of experience in product marketing or technical p[roduct marketing for an enterprise software or SaaS company.
  • Portfolio of impactful marketing content, sales enablement materials and always-on GTM with proven results across the marketing funnel
  • Experience owning high-visibility, high-impact technical product
  • Experience with cloud, data analytics, machine learning or AI technologies
  • Experience presenting at conferences/seminars and customer engagements
  • BS in Marketing or Computer Science, Engineering, coupled with relevant professional experience
