Summary of the role:

The Principal Product Owner maximize the outcome of the Agile teams to give best value to the customers. They develop, prioritize and maintain the product backlog applying agile best practices in order to maximize business value. This includes the working closely with Architecture and Product leads in order to drive toward the intended business outcome. The Principal Product owner also participates in all ART ceremonies in order to facilitate cohesive alignment of ART POs in order to achieve desired development objectives.

In this role you'll:

• Maximize the outcome of the Agile teams delivering the product features within a defined value stream
• Operate in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) development environment, which will involve working with multiple Product Owner to continuously evaluate and prioritize the backlog across multiple teams within a single agile release train (ART)
• Transform the high-level vision of the Product Manager into detailed requirements and socialize those requirements in the form of product features
• Work with ART leadership to create, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog
• Collaborate with product, architecture and security leads in the development of program vision and the product roadmap
• Actively participate in the prioritization of product, compliance, and architecture initiatives
• Drive and actively participate in all feature refinement workshops where high level features are elaborated
• Own epics and large feature as well as their outcomes, create actionable user stories for the development teams
• Ensure Definition of Done supports NFRs, thereby limiting security vulnerabilities and technical debt
• Mentor and guide other POs within the same business domain and be a key actor of the continuous improvement
• Participate in recurring Agile ceremonies, answer developers' questions as the customer/user representative, accept the finished work items
• Work in a context of more than one Agile team(s) (Scrum or Kanban)
• Demonstrate effective participation in 'release-to-market' meeting activities and completion of relative tasks required to operationalize features
• Work transversally with Product Owner leads across other ART in order to align on strategic business objectives

About the ideal candidate:

• MSc in Computer Science or related discipline
• Minimum of 7 years of Business Analyst, Product Definition and/or product development experience
• Product Owner experience, Certified Scrum product Owner (CSPO) or SAFe PO/PM certification (SPC) preferred
• Experience with Stake holder management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with Lean Agile principle, CI/CD, TDD, API first design
• Master the vertical slicing ensuring the delivery of effective value at the end of each iteration and program increment.
• Proficiencies in problem solving analysis, reading and producing design artefacts (sequence diagrams , workflows , specifications, mapping documents, )
