Principal Program Director
Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide principal-level subject-matter expertise in weapons development, weapons integration and range testing
- Conduct frequent face-to-face interaction with clients; establish new and build upon existing relationships with clients and potential clients related to testing, test range support, and weapons development
- Work closely with Test Technology Division leadership to develop and implement business growth strategies for the Division and ARA
- Provide program management for a large IDIQ type contract in addition to individual program efforts
- Lead cross-company business capture for the TETRAS II contract and other weapons related efforts
- Lead program work with multiple functional organizations to ensure alignment with the project/program objectives
- Participate in the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes, including coordinating preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements, operational budgets, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts to ensure legal compliance and to protect the organization's interests
- Manage vendors, when necessary, to support the program
Required Experience and Qualifications Needed:
- Master's degree and 15 years of related (technical, business, engineering environment) experience is required
- Demonstrated professional experience with weapons programs (i.e., Program or Project Management experience)
- Demonstrated capture management and business development experience
- Applicant must hold an active Secret security clearance or equivalent
- Applicant must be a U.S. citizen
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Haves):
- Experience with weapon qualifications testing
