This role is designated hybrid, and candidates must be within a reasonable commute of our Irvine office. The salary range for this role is $86,000-$135,000 annually. This role is not available to candidates seeking visa sponsorship.

The Project Management team is growing. We are responsible for the company’s enterprise projects and ensuring our company completes large scale initiatives effectively and efficiently. As a Principal Project Manager, you will lead and manage large technical projects within the Credit9 line of business. You will ensure business/technology solutions are managed to support business strategies, often working with senior management, and directing the integration of technical aspects of all related projects/programs. You may conduct analyses, needs assessments, and cost/benefit assessments and help to broker other technology services. Credit9 is a fast-growing online lender, created to help people consolidate their unsecured, high interest debts so they can become debt-free and improve their credit score.
Responsibilities:
- You’ll promote and lead large, complex projects to achieve key business objectives.
- You’ll solve unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business.
- You’ll conduct weekly project meetings to ensure deadlines are being met and the project is kept on target.
- Facilitate and lead effective project meetings and workshops, manage change and conflict, and develop resource planning estimates to manage project workload and productivity. Create agenda topics and facilitate project/team meetings; writes/reviews meeting minutes.
- Implement lean project and portfolio management practices.
- You’ll create and update project status reports for program rollup and management review.
- You’ll translate highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences. Your primarily focused to help drive Credit 9 division initiatives.
- You’ll successfully partner with the PMO, VP and team to mature the Project Management Office.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of Project Management experience leading and managing large, complex projects in a matrixed organization.
- 5-8 years’ experience in the Financial Services Industry and background in lending is a plus.
- Proven workbook/reporting expertise (including data extraction, look-ups, sorts, joins, pivots and mapping skills).
- Has previous experience working with external collaborators.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, matrixed team environment and effectively manage change.
- Excellent root cause analysis, resolution skills using risk management and contingency planning, presenting solutions at all levels of the company from C-Suite, Project Stakeholders, and End-Users.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience
