ADP is hiring a Principal Project Manager - Tax Compliance. In this position, you'll provide consulting and support for the One Tax Compliance organization, collaborating with Development, Operations, Service, and Agency Relations partners to ensure successful implementation of compliance changes. You will also provide guidance and direction to Project Managers responsible for planning, scheduling and controlling the activities of various complex compliance change projects.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Principal Project Manager - Tax Compliance will use best practices and knowledge of internal and external business processes to improve Tax compliance across multiple ADP products. You will work on a range of different types of technical projects and business processes. Maintain a knowledge level of support areas conducive for effective analysis of solutions. Assist with management of compliance changes and gaining consensus on approach and details of systemic changes, verification and acceptance of changes. Use excellent functional technical, and project management knowledge and skills to perform assigned tasks.

  • Relationship Building. You will help our clients manage their business using our solutions, which could include troubleshooting and probing to resolve payroll issues. Support might also involve partnering with multiple business units and teams for troubleshooting and delivering a seamless client experience. You will cultivate strong relationships with both internal and external agency partners.
  • Research. You will continually upgrade your knowledge and skills on payroll tax requirements, including federal, state and local compliance, standard operating procedures, administrative practices, and desktop support tools to develop and maintain your ability to support our partners.
  • Project Management. Organize yourself to deal with a high volume of inbound data and information inquiries. Ensure agency requirements are gathered, analyzed, validated and delivered at scheduled intervals, to ensure output compliance. Daily tasks may increase during peak seasons, like at the close of the year.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services
  • May lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk and/or complexity, providing indirect supervisory influence to team members. Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations
  • Leads others to solve complex problems; uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgement and identify innovative solutions
  • Impacts the achievement of client, operational, program, project or service work objectives
  • Communicates difficult concepts and negotiates with others to adopt a different point of view.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor's Degree or greater in Business/Information Systems/Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years ADP experience that includes: Broad exposure to and/or knowledge of ADP Tax practices and/or application systems; Exposure to ADP Payroll systems and regional practices.
  • Successful experience as a project/program manager assigned to large, complex projects
  • Good communication skills; requires in-depth knowledge and experience in managing diverse programs.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of ADP Tax lifecycle and development procedures
  • Excellent planning, analytical, organizational, critical thinking, problem solving and time management skills.
  • Ability to partner effectively across functions and business units with the ability to gain shared vision on challenging decisions and priority trade-offs.
  • Experience working with TOPS, N8, and JIRA platforms
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with individuals at all levels.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to quickly and objectively assess project management needs
  • Experience managing large, complex, multi-year projects
