Summary:

Allegro Microsystems, a world leader in the Magnetic Sensors IC, is currently seeking a hands-on Sr. Project/Program Manager to work in our Sensor Business Unit. This person will utilize IC product development experience, project management concepts and best-known methods & tools to develop highly integrated Analog & Mixed Signal IC products and to improve development processes & methodology. The ideal candidate will also provide technical leadership, communication, support, and training to both internal project teams and external support organizations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with project sponsor, cross-functional teams, and team members to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new projects
  • Maintain schedule project timelines
  • Track project deliverables of in-flight projects using appropriate tools
  • Provide direction and support to the project team
  • Mentor project team members to foster and promote a positive team atmosphere
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, from project kickoff through product introduction
  • Communicate project status to key stakeholders and manage expectations on project scope, deliverables, timelines and resources
  • Present reports defining project progress, risks, and solutions
  • Ensure that the project goals and objectives are achieved while following Allegro's established development process
  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related technical discipline with a minimum of 8+ years of experience in Semiconductor Industry
  • Understanding of IC product development flow is must (Analog and Mixed Signal ICs experience is preferred)
  • 3+ years Project management experience is highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, planning, and problem-solving/troubleshooting skills
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced engineering and manufacturing environment
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to manage conflict in a stressful environment
  • Understands and listens to team members and fosters a productive team environment
  • Able to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Must be able to work independently with limited supervision

Proficient in advanced techniques with relevant software: Smart Sheets, Sharepoint, MS Office, etc. in addition to experience working within shared work environments
