Title: NextGen Principal QA Engineer
Position Purpose: Primary responsibility is to ensure ADP Lifion/Pi features are well analyzed, validated & reported on schedule. This role requires hands-on E2E test framework development along with effective collaboration with product owners & development teams in achieving the objectives.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Here is what you can expect on a typical day:
- You understand that an agile QA environment requires flexibility. Working in three-week sprints, you must keep up with timelines and coding standards. Time constraints and fluidity of work often mean taking a creative approach to our testing strategy. Your first thought? Bring it on!
- You'll create test plans, test cases, and scenarios for large-scale, complex software applications. You will focus on the verification and validation of applications from an end-user perspective.
- We work collaboratively, so you will communicate and collaborate with technical developers and multiple stakeholders for your products. You'll articulate clear and compelling reasons to persuade developers to make product changes for the end user's benefit.
- You're always learning new codes and eager to figure things out as you learn.
- Inevitable challenges will arise, and we'll rely on you to look for a solution.
- You have 10+ years of experience in relevant skills gained and developed in the same or similar role.
Key Responsibilities:
- The person selected would be responsible for implementing the Test Automation for enterprise applications using open-source technologies like Selenium.
- Develop and drive automation test planning, cases, and strategy across several functional teams, to both ensure product quality and to contribute to Continuous Integration and Delivery efforts.
- Write high quality/efficient and maintainable automation scripts. Automation of Functional and non-functional requirements. Automate the UI, Services and DB scripts.
- Work collaboratively in Agile scrum team including Developers/ lead developers, Architects/Tech leads, Product Owners, and Scrum master.
- Establish processes and tool sets to maintain automation scripts and generate regular test reports, contributing ongoing streamlined data to our engineering dashboards.
Experience:
- 10 years' experience in End-to-end test automation.
- Experience in in setting up automated testing framework for UI and Backend testing.
- Core competency areas include Functional (UI and Backend), Regression, Automation and Performance testing.
- Should have experience in UI Automation using Selenium, and API automation was done using RestAssured/ Postman/Newman.
- Familiarity with development of event-based APIs, enterprise service bus and web service development (REST).
- Experience in configuring automated Regression tests in Jenkins to achieve Continuous Integration testing.
- Familiarity in HCM, Payroll domain is an added advantage.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science
The targeted base salary range for this role is listed in the compensation section below. Actual salary may be above or below this range based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. In addition, this position may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity, or commissions. Base Compensation range for New York City residents is 117,600 to 258,600.
