Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Robotics Engineer to lead a project focused on incorporating robotics simulations into high-fidelity cyber ranges for modeling, simulation, and test of critical infrastructure and autonomous systems. The ideal candidate should hold a Ph.D. in Robotics, have experience leading projects, and be familiar with integrating robotics simulations into broader test and evaluation infrastructure. Familiarity with cloud orchestration, configuration, and management frameworks is a plus.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead the incorporation of robotics, sensor, and physical system simulation into virtual cyber range infrastructure.

• Collaborate with executive leadership, cyber range engineers, and stakeholders to define project requirements and develop

a roadmap to accomplish project goals.

• Develop and maintain simulation software, including simulation engines, visualization tools, and data analytics pipelines.

• Evaluate new simulation technologies and integrate them into the project when appropriate.

• Work with a team of engineers to provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support.

Required Skills/Experience

• Ph.D. in Robotics or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in robotics control and simulation infrastructure.

• Strong programming skills, with expertise in Python and/or C++.

• Experience with simulation engines such as Unity or Bullet, ROS (Robot Operating System), and related packages.

• Familiarity with Linux operating systems and command-line tools.

• Experience leading projects and managing project timelines, budgets, and resources.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Optional Skills:

• Familiarity with cloud orchestration, configuration, and management frameworks such as Ansible

• Familiarity with VMware Software Defined Data Center tooling.

• Experience with machine learning, data analytics, and visualization tools.

• Experience with cyber ranges for large-scale simulation and training.
