NGMS is seeking Principal and Senior Principal Embedded Software Engineers with AI / ML experience to develop machine learning and complex signal processing algorithms. The individual should be capable of playing a key role in a variety of machine learning and algorithm development for next-generation applications; in radar, communications, and electronic warfare.

Salary Range: $117,200.00 - $175,800.00Salary Range 2: $145,200.00 - $217,800.00
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to basepay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO)for vacation and/orpersonal business.

NGMS is seeking Principal and Senior Principal Embedded Software Engineers with AI / ML experience to develop machine learning and complex signal processing algorithms. The individual should be capable of playing a key role in a variety of machine learning and algorithm development for next-generation applications; in radar, communications, and electronic warfare.
Responsibilities may include:
- Participate in the development of innovative detection, estimation and classification algorithms and techniques for advanced applications.
- Develop signal processing algorithms, waveforms and techniques that exploit and optimize radar, radio and EW architectures that take advantage of advanced radio frequency and processing technology.
- Perform concept and performance trade studies and demonstrate developed capabilities for streaming data applications.
- Develop prototype, and test sensor models and signal processing algorithms in detailed high-fidelity simulations written in C/C++, and MATLAB.
- Operate with broad direction and minimal supervision.
- Interact with customers and development partners.

Basic Qualifications for a Principal Level:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline
- 5+ years of software engineering experience (3 years for MS degree, 0 years for PhD)
- Candidates must have an ACTIVE US DoD Security Clearance at the Secret Level (or higher) with the ability to obtain and maintain a SAP
- A minimum of 2 years of experience with digital signal processing, probability theory, stochastic signal processing and machine learning
- Knowledge and experience working with programming languages (such as C/C++, MATLAB, Python, Simulink)
- Prior Experience with developing and prototyping algorithms.
Basic Qualifications for a Senior Principal Level:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline
- 9+ years of software engineering experience (7 years for MS degree, 4 years for PhD)
- Candidates must have an ACTIVE US DoD Security Clearance at the Secret Level (or higher) with the ability to obtain and maintain a SAP
- A minimum of 5 years of experience with digital signal processing, probability theory, stochastic signal processing and machine learning
- Knowledge and experience working with programming languages (such as C/C++, MATLAB, Python, Simulink)
- Prior Experience with developing and prototyping algorithms.
Preferred Qualifications for Both Levels:
- Electronic Warfare systems.
- Radar, waveforms, radar signal processing.
- Communication Simulators, Communications Jamming.
- Wireless communication systems.
- Knowledge of Kalman filtering, CNN, Random Forest, Support Vector Machine, Adaptive Neural Networks, Belief Propagation, other machine learning algorithms.
