Mobile Networks

Our Business Group is a leader in wireless mobility networks and associated services. With more than 3.500 patent families essential for 5G we have a strong 5G portfolio and are a front runner in open and virtualized radio access networks (O-RAN and vRAN).

The team you will be a part of

You will work with Architecture & Specification team in System-on-Chip Development Unit. Our team defines and drives the best-in-class SoC technologies, IPs, and architectures for Nokia wireless network SoCs. We work closely with product management and other development units and build the future with the Nokia Bell Labs research organization.

What you will learn and contribute to

Suppose you are passionate about building 6G and eager to learn more about Digital radio Front-end (DFE) algorithms and architecture. Also, you are excited to do different tasks requiring leadership and specialist skills at your job. In that case, this one is for you. You are a team player and efficient in organizing tasks, and your English language skills allow you to communicate efficiently in our multicultural environment.

• You would be a Principal SoC Architect in SoC DFE Architecture and Specification (A&S) team.

• You cooperate closely with the other SoC and BTS A&S teams to develop the future 6G Radio SoC and IPs.

• You contribute to the development of DFE algorithms, e.g., Digital Predistortion or Crest Factor Reduction. Tasks could include leading feasibility studies, doing simulations and lab testing, and supporting project teams.

• You share ideas for the technical direction and act as a professional advisor and mentor for stakeholders

Your skills and experience

We expect you to have the following:

• MSc or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or similar

• Strong Communications Signal Processing background, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in 4G and 5G development

• Expertise in SoC development, on ASIC or FPGA

It would be good if you also had some of the following:

• Expertise in MATLAB and preferably some other coding language

• Knowledge of DFE signal processing, e.g. DPD or CFR algorithms

• Knowledge of radio networks or BTS Radio system architecture

• Knowledge of RF and Power Amplifiers
