Principal Software Engineer

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Principal Software Innovation Engineer is a subject matter expert in enabling business through faster experimentation of emerging technologies and data driven decision making. They are a trusted advisor, services provider, and innovator to our partners. The Innovation expert will work as a liaison between solution Delivery and Business Development teams. They will work closely with the Growth and Innovation team to research emerging technologies and validate new business ideas through quicker POC and experimentation.

This position has remote capabilities in PA, NJ, DE and MD.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create and deliver compelling presentations on new idea/solution viability
• Assess and compile white papers about emerging technologies and industry developments
• Participate in new idea creation/validation until the solution moves into the pilot phase and assist with transition to an operationalized product
• Participate in solution envisioning both internally and externally with clients
• Design and develop proof of concepts that align to organizational Innovation objectives and external commitments
• Monitor industry trends and best practices, working with Enterprise Architecture (EA) to determine alignment to EA strategy and future direction
• Develop and optimize new/existing business processes using emerging technologies mentioned below
• Be a strong ambassador for technology Innovation and usage of emerging technologies such as AI, ML, NLP, RPA, VR/IR, IoT and AWS cloud services, etc.

• Manages multiple priorities effectively, adapts to changes in procedures or conditions easily, and accepts new responsibilities with enthusiasm
• Significant programming experience with various mainstream technologies and concepts such as Java, Python, R, C++, AI, ML, NLP, RPA, iPaaS-Boomi, IAM, Data Lake, Business Intelligence and AWS server less architectures
• Experience with various platforms including Operating Systems, Desktop/Web/Mobile application interfaces, and AWS cloud services
• Significant experience matching appropriate technologies to business needs
• Solid understanding of the software development life cycle and software methodologies
• Highly self-motivated and directed
• Strong communication and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort to business and technical audiences
• Strong leadership skills with professional situational awareness

Experience

• 12 + years of technology relevant experience
• Demonstrated experience of authoring compelling blog and online content
• Track record of providing technology innovation and practical solutions that offers value for clients

Education

• Bachelor's Degree or a combination of equivalent education and experience
• AWS solution architect associate
