What you will do - Essential Responsibilities

• Partner with multiple CarMax Product teams to understand the real-life challenges of CarMax associates and discover what they need to help move customers seamlessly between the online and in-person shopping experiences.
• Collaborate with colleagues in product design, product management and systems architecture to develop experimental solutions and bring great ideas to life.
• Market your innovative ideas internally and evolve them according to feedback and critique within an agile environment.
• Stay on top of industry trends and best practice to continuously improve what we do and ensure our customer experience is the best it can be.

Qualifications and Requirements

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, a related field, or equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical experience is required.
• Strong teamwork and customer service skills, ability to learn quickly, excellent written and spoken communication required.
• 8+ years of application development experience required.

Experience in the following Required

• Experience building Enterprise level Web Applications using Microsoft .Net Core (C#)
• Experience with Azure data storage offerings like CosmosDB, Redis
• Experience collaborating with multiple teams
• Experience with Microsoft Azure hosted applications
• Experience working with Agile and DevOps methodologies
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs
• GitHub experience for source control

Experience in the following preferred:

• 5+ years of experience with Typescript/Javascript and ReactJs at an Enterprise level
• Experience with Micro-FrontEnd patterns or Module Federation
• Prior experience with ReactJs state management libraries (Redux)
• Familiarity with HTML / CSS
• Familiarity with SignalR
• Experience working within a product organization preferred.

Work Location and Arrangement: This role will be based out of the Richmond, VA CarMax Technology Innovation Center, Atlanta CAF Center, or the Dallas, TX Technology Hub and have a Hybrid work arrangement.

Work Authorization: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
