We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join our team. This position can be located near our corporate offices in Waltham (MA), Austin (TX), and St. Petersburg (FL), as well as Costa Rica. Remote is also considered but must be near enough for occasional travel to one of the offices.
Duties and Responsibilities

• Design and implement full-stack enterprise software systems in an agile scrum environment.
• Lead a team to develop server-side components.
• Perform code-review for peer developers in the team.
• Assist with, troubleshoot, and resolve customer issues.
• Help inform and guide development best practices within the engineering team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• 10+ years designing and building enterprise applications.
• 8+ years of experience with Java development.
• Experience with Linux operating systems is desired.
• Experience with Apache or similar web server on RedHat or Linux.
• Basic understanding of cloud technologies is welcome.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to interact well with both internal teams and external customers.

Physical Requirements

• This role is regularly required to walk, climb stairs, sit, stand, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone.
